HARRISMITH, SOUTH AFRICA

Pastor Khule Mthethwa, founder and senior pastor of Charis Missionary Church, has emerged as a prominent spiritual leader in Harrismith, known for his unwavering commitment to faith, sacrifice, and community transformation.

Pastor Mthethwa established the church in 2015 in obedience to God's calling and vision for soul-winning and community transformation. From humble beginnings, the church has grown into a place of hope, faith, and impact. His leadership is marked by faith, sacrifice, and obedience.

A qualified Software Engineer by profession, Pastor Mthethwa has worked overseas, gaining valuable international experience before returning to South Africa. Upon his return, he worked at Telkom, where he built a strong professional career. However, driven by a clear calling into ministry, he made the life-changing decision to resign from his position to fully pursue the work of God and establish the ministry.

In 2018, Pastor Mthethwa demonstrated exceptional commitment by prioritizing the construction of the House of God, choosing to invest everything into building the church rather than personal gain, including postponing the building of his own home. The church building was officially dedicated from 27 May to 02 June by Apostle JB Makananisa.

He carries a strong passion for soul-winning, revival, and community upliftment, particularly in empowering young people through education and employment opportunities. His ministry is grounded in the Word of God, led by the Holy Spirit, and focused on bringing good news to the poor.

Recently, at the Warden Tent Crusade, Prophet T.A. Ralekholela handed the mantle of interpretation to Pastor Mthethwa, a symbolic and prophetic act marking elevation, recognition, and spiritual endorsement. This moment signified the passing of spiritual authority and the affirmation of Pastor Mthethwa's prophetic calling and ministry.

"My calling is to win souls and bring people into the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ", says Pastor Mthethwa. "Let us learn to let God be God, surrendering our own control and trusting His perfect plan over our lives. When we step aside and allow Him to lead, He directs our paths and fills us with purpose".

As the church continues to grow, Pastor Mthethwa's vision extends to more crusades across the country, taking the Gospel to villages, towns, and cities, winning souls for the Kingdom. His leadership is a testament to what can be achieved when one fully surrenders to God's calling.
